Some of the signs that indicate you may have an employee going through a divorce include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frequent absences \u2013 A traditional, contentious divorce requires frequent meetings with attorneys and court appearances. \u201cThe more contentious the divorce, the more time off work required,\u201d says <a href=\"https:\/\/theundercoverrecruiter.com\/divorce-unproductive-employee\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/theundercoverrecruiter.com\/divorce-unproductive-employee\/\">Carol Sullivan<\/a> of Divorce Negotiator, U.K.<\/li>\n<li>Increased margin of error \u2013 This can be especially dangerous, especially if your employee going through a divorce operates heavy machinery or equipment. Judgment mistakes can cause accidents and injuries.<\/li>\n<li>Late arrivals \u2013 Watch for signs of partying, excessive drug\/alcohol use when an employee frequently comes in late, looking haggard.<\/li>\n<li>Less productivity \u2013 An employee going through a divorce may lack focus and use work-time to deal with issues.
