Too many children, friends, and family members are affected from divorces.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Be_sure_to_be_wary_of_the_impact_of_your_words\"><\/span>2. Be sure to be wary of the impact of your words.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Your words may help make an individual\u2019s day awesome, or horrible. This applies to not only the impact of your words on your spouse or child(ren) but may also the impact of your words on a third individual \u2013 who might, in turn, impact their spouse, child(ren) or someone else. Good things move forward just as bad things.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Be_yourself_%E2%80%93_dont_be_someone_youre_not_to_please_somebody_else\"><\/span>3. Be yourself \u2013 don\u2019t be someone you\u2019re not to please somebody else.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>A lot of the problems attorney\u2019s see in their practices stem from a person trying to change for their partner \u2013 believing that they aren\u2019t good enough, or their sense of humor is sub-par, or attractive enough, or intelligent enough. Be assured that if both of you are meant for each other, you will be good enough, funny enough and intelligent enough from the start! You don\u2019t need to change. Individuals that attempt to change end up going after an un-realizable goal \u2013 sometimes just being miserable and other times waking up later than they should \u2013 coming to the realization that they have squandered an extended period of their life disliking themselves.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Be_honest_with_yourself\"><\/span>4. Be honest with yourself.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Know your limits. Have acquirable goals. Only bring children into the world if you can truly care and provide for them.<\/p>\n<p>Following years of being asked what the primary cause of break-ups and divorces is, it appears that the answer could be straightforward in a lot of cases.\u00a0 Remember that in the case of a marriage spouses promise to love and honor their spouse for better or worse, in sickness and in health.\u00a0 In law practices, attorneys witness family after family which has long been broken or which is currently being broken.<\/p>\n<p>The one thing that appears to stand out for the cause of these misfortunes is \u201cselfishness.\u201d\u00a0 People ask more often than not about \u201ccauses\u201d of divorce, and attorneys believe they want some miraculous uncontrollable cause to be out there: things like \u201c bad economy\u201d or \u201cdrugs\u201d (both that can decimate families). But the one thing attorneys seem to see most often is selfishness \u2013 the unknowingly or even knowingly inability to put their marriage or their child(ren) or their spouse above their own wants and needs; the inability or reluctance to love and honor their spouse for better or worse; the hesitation or reluctance to uphold the commitment they made on their wedding day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A final New Year\u2019s Resolution from divorce attorneys is:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Uphold_your_promises_%E2%80%93_and_help_others_to_uphold_theirs\"><\/span>5.
